RESEARCH
"Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it" Samuel Johnson, 1770
Need information about a particular subject, company, or market? Whether for academic, business or marketing purposes, I can help by carrying out research into the area you are interested in.
Subject
Subjects covered in the past include psychology, history, business, medicine, science, IT, design, law and philosophy. With a broad background and research experience in a variety of fields, almost any subject can be researched, from the obscure to the peculiar and everything in between.
Process
Whether you want a fact checked, an opinion gleaned, or a full-blown analysis of a particular topic, WELL READ can help. The research can be library, internet or interview-based. You provide the brief, let me know what you need researched, how much detail you require, and how you need the results presented and I will take it from there.
Results
From a graphical presentation of the raw data, to a synopsis of the main results, to a full written report and analysis, the results of the research can be presented to you in whichever format you choose.
Examples of past research projects:
- Assisted in a focus group exploring the marketing of a certain food group and produced a report to summarise the results
- Researched the import and approval of a foreign-built microlight and compiled a database and summary report of the results
- Researched and wrote a 12-page report for a university department addressing reasons for small business failure in North Wales
- Telephone research and 9-page summary report for a furniture manufacturer about the sales patterns of a certain brand of furniture in various stores around the country
- Competitor analysis report for a venture capital firm looking to invest in a certain area
